First time in India?

Start here.

India rewards travellers who plan a little and wander a lot. Most first trips start with the Golden Triangle — Delhi’s markets, the Taj at sunrise, Jaipur’s forts — and it’s still the best introduction I know. From there the country splits into moods: Kerala for slow houseboats and tea hills, Rajasthan for desert forts and blue cities, Goa to wind down at the end.

Distances are bigger than they look, so a good trip picks two or three regions — not six. Trains beat flights for the experience, October to March beats everything for weather, and every route on this page is one I’ve travelled myself.

India questions

Good questions.

Is India safe for first-time travellers? +

Yes, with normal city sense — and I plan routes, hotels and transfers I'd use for my own family. You'll have me on WhatsApp throughout the trip.

How much does an India trip cost per person? +

Honest range: ₹32,000–₹60,000 per person for 7–10 comfortable mid-range days, depending on region and season. Every plan is itemised, so you see exactly where it goes.

What's the best month to visit India? +

October to March for almost everywhere. April–June I'll steer you to the Himalayas; monsoon has its own magic in Kerala — I'll tell you honestly if your dates fit.
